Joshua T. Goetz, USN, 25, passed away Sunday, Oct. 14, 2018.Visitation will be 2:00-8:00 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27th at Ortmann-Stipanovich Funeral Home 12444 Olive Blvd., Creve Coeur. Mass will be celebrated 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 28 at Incarnate Word Catholic Church, 13416 Olive Blvd., Chesterfield. Interment is Monday, Oct. 29 at the National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks, MO. Procession leaving the Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m.Lt. Goetz was baptized into the hope of Christ’s Resurrection. Beloved son of David K. and Michelle (nee Hoyt) Goetz; dearest brother of Morgan and Isabel Goetz; loving grandson of Norma (nee Mouser) and the late Norbert Goetz and Terry and Elizabeth (nee Smajda) Hoyt; great-grandson of Elizabeth Carpenter (nee Miller). Our dear nephew, cousin and friend.Lt. Goetz is a graduate of the United States Navel Academy, Class of 2015. Josh excelled as a Naval Flight Officer in the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye, taking control of the skies of the Western Pacific as a proud member of the Forward Deployed Naval Forces. The “Tigertails” are deeply saddened by the passing of Lt. Josh “Lunch$” Goetz. He was an avid musician, car enthusiast, prolific distance runner, friend to all, and proud member of the Knights of Columbus. Josh’s radiant personality would inspire those around him daily.
